Some bonus for visitor is assured around Ranthambhore. Ranthambhore boast of some unique Birding Spots, Historic Places, Religious Sites and nature Niches of authentic appeal. They have neither been brought over a map nor have been popularized through writing. Several new Tourism Sites around Ranthambhore National Park are listed here:

MANSAROVAR
About 25 km. from Sawai Madhopur, this irrigation dam is a fascinating site. A walking distance from the road (Sawai Madhopur-Khandar/Pali), it is about 2 km. from Bodal village. The dam is on south western periphery of Ranthambhore Park and forms its boundary too. It contains water round the year which is released from irrigation purposes. Plenty of fishing activities with trekking around will be new programs here. An irrigation rest house at the base of embankment is the only facility here.

CHAMBAL RIVER
About 38 km. from Sawai Madhopur, it is on border with Madhya Pradesh (Pali Ghat). It is coming up with a vital centre of attraction following Kuno-Palpur Forest (Madhya Pradesh) being developed as the 2nd Lion's Sanctuary. Observing Gavial (Crocodile), fishing, roving/boating with nature walks along the bank of the river can come up with amazing encouragement.

RAMESHWARAM
55 km. from Sawai Madhopur, it is a religious place (of little significant), the temple is in poor shape. However, the confluence of the Banas River and Chambal River is a site to be seen and appreciated. Hence, birdlife is in plenty (Skimmer, Pranticol, Ducks, terns and Raptor). Boating, leisure time spending with rural observations has great potential. It is digression from Khandar road.

KHANDAR FORT
45 km. from Sawai Madhopur, Khandar is an imposing fort and is accessed by black top road (the proposed entry to Ranthambhore). The Banas River is about 3 km. north of the village. It can come up as an alternative to Ranthambhore's main gate. It has trekking access to Bhuri Pahadi and both can be clubbed together. The place is about 15 km. away from Rameshwaram.

SURWAL LAKE
It is an awful wetland of tremendous potential of Bird watching. It is about 12 km. from Sawai Madhopur along the road to Dausa (2 km. inside towards left). Depth of water attracts large divers like Pelicans. Flamingos are observed. Duck's paradise, this lake has natural setting with scanty village life all around. Some low hillocks constitute ideal sitting nooks to observe nature over luxuriant aquatic vegetation (Mini-Keoladeo Park).
